Hey internet folk! Today I want to share my favorite resources on the internet, ranging from scholarship websites to online courses to cool forums. If you have any of your own suggestions, please comment below. 🙂
Scholarship-Positions – This website is fully stocked with undergraduate, masters, and even PhD scholarships. I’ve actually subscribed to this website via email, but I haven’t discovered one that’s available for me yet, heheh.
Starla Education – Not only does it provide information on scholarships, it also provides free online courses, information on tests like SBMPTN, and other relevant tidbits for Indonesianstudents.
Scholars4dev – Yet another amazing site to check out for those of you aspiring for a scholarship. The link I gave immediately takes you to the section International Scholarships for International Students from Developing Countries 2017-2018.
Indbeasiswa – Yang ini khusus untuk kawan-kawan di tanah air. ^^
It was a cold winter day. There was no snow in Austin, but in my head, ice flakes were flurrying down and all around. The skin between my index finger and thumb had gone dry, causing cracks in my skin. Dried blood. Shivering, I waited. I looked between my feet and waited. I looked at the neat, beautiful houses in rows and waited. At the cars going by. And waited.
My mom sat beside me as we both squinted into the distance, eyes searching for the signature university colors of dark orange and white. Upon seeing my chattering teeth, Mama took off her woolen jacket and wrapped it around me. I stayed quiet.
Ten minutes felt like an hour. But at last the campus bus came, and we shuffled into the warmth.
Am I the rose- vain, patiently waiting for the little prince? Am I the little prince- travelling through planets only to find his answer waiting at home? Am I the man whose plane crashed in the desert with the well? Am I the fox? Am I the snake? Or, what if, I’m slowly becoming a grown-up like The King or The Banker or the Top-Hat Man…? It’s curious what this universe holds. And it’s stranger still how we only know so little.
